EFEK TAMPILAN VISUAL SEDUKTIF DESAIN PESAN MULTIMEDIA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN TRANSFER
Abstract
This experiment includes two groups of college students with difference in literacy orientation type%2C visual and verbal%2C all consist of 80 people. The experiment was held to compare impacts of presenting information in essential message design format (DPE) and seductive-visual (DPS). To analyze the experiment%2C MANOVA statistical technique is used with 0.05 in significance level. Groups of students related with different types of message design showed significance dissimilarity in mean result for retention and transfer.The result of PillaiÂ’s Trace is F=5.941%2C WilksÂ’ LambdaÂ’s F=5.941%2C HotellingÂ’s TraceÂ’s F=5.941%2C RoyÂ’s Largest Root F=5.941. Collective manner result showed p=0.000 (p<0.005)%2C and particularized manner showed p=0.004 (p<0.05). Based on post-hoc with Tukey test it is concluded that DPE is the most superior message design format in transfer. These results support the use of theories based on dual coding memory in constructing multimedia messaging design for transfer outputs.Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia :
Eksperimen ini melibatkan dua kelompok mahasiswa dengan tipe orientasi literasi berbeda%2C visual dan verbal%2C seluruhnya berjumlah 80 orang. Eksperimen dilakukan untuk membandingkan dampak-dampak menghadirkan presentasi multimedia integrasi animasi dan narasi simultan yang berformat desain pesan esensial (DPE) dan visual seduktif (DPS). Untuk maksud tersebut digunakan teknik statistik MANOVA dengan taraf signifikansi 0%2C05. Kelompok-kelompok pebelajar yang dikenai format desain pesan berbeda menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan pada rata-rata retensi maupun transfer. Diperoleh nilai F=5%2C941 (uji PillaiÂ’s Trace)%2C F= 5%2C941 (uji WilksÂ’ Lambda)%2C F=5%2C941 (uji HotellingÂ’s Trace)%2C dan F=5%2C941 (uji RoyÂ’s Largest Root)%2C keseluruhan uji tersebut p=0%2C004 (p<0%2C05) untuk uji pada grup secara bersama-sama. Berdasarkan uji post-hoc dengan tes Tukey disimpulkan bahwa DPE merupakan format desain pesan yang paling superior dalam hal transfer.
